I’m Abhi Chebiyam. I live in New York City, and I love to solve problems.

I was born in Troy, Michigan and moved to the Bay Area in 6th grade. Ever since then, I embodied the Silicon Valley's spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. I graduated from Monta Vista high school in 2019 and then obtained a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2023. I am currently pursuing a M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign while working full-time at J.P. Morgan Chase as a software engineer.

I first picked up programming at the age of 13 when my dad brought home a Raspberry Pi. I was fascinated by the functionality of an LED circuit and my curiosity only grew from that point. I started learning Java in high school and eventually worked into languages such as Python, C++, and Javascript. Having worked within the field of Computer Science for over 10 years now, my passion for solving intricate problems has turned into a career.

Apart from the daily grind, I enjoy playing basketball, tennis and the piano. I'm a huge Detroit Lions fan and I never thought I'd see the day my team would have a chance to play in the Super Bowl but that's what Dan Campbell has made me believe.
